Devlog #4 - Bertje!


Hey all!

We're building code from scratch, carving the map out of stone and summoning robots from the depths of he-, I mean the factory! Production phase has arrived!

First off, characters!

I'll be saving you from all the sketches and iterations, but here are the robot parts that we thought were interesting enough to make a blockout of in 3D.  We made some combinations and collectively agreed  that one of the assembled robots was THE one for our game. 

Reader, meet our mascot Bertje:


We also had to remake the mesh from the environment since it was going to be more efficient for unwrapping and texturing.  There are also proper stairs and a bridge present in the level. Currently, it is looking like this (see image below).


It's still a bunch of grey blocks, but textures should arrive by next week. So stay with us for more updates :)
