Devlog #10 - FINAL UPDATE!


Hey everyone!

As we have announced last week, this weeks devlog will be our last one. Meaning our game project has come to an end, and we will post the final version of our game. It's been a wild journey, but I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.


LEVEL

In this weeks update, we freshed up the textures we already had, gave our terrain some color, and placed a lot more palm trees to liven things up! Our victory screen also got taken care of:


UI

Our UI has got an upgrade too! There are new buttons to admire. From the regular play button, to the countdown screen when entering the game. 

But first; players are now able to read the cooldowns of their abilities:


Next, our buttons got upgraded, and so did our plant silhouette! If you compare it to last weeks build, the image has a better quality now! :)

Players are now able to join the 'lobby' and the game starts when the timer hit 0.

The controls image has some color now!


RFX

We updated and added some RFX, f.e.

  • When players shoot, stun or slow others there is a small spark emitting from the player:


  • Our smoke got updated:


  • The fire has been tweaked:

 

SOUND

We have brought you better balancing of the game audio, some new sounds, and an exciting (yet stressful) way for you to start worrying about who is winning!!

  • The main menu is now only filled with the ambient. Players will no longer hear the fire and arrow traps.
  • The musical ambient will now speed up and become louder, depending on what the highest score in the game is!
  • There is a new victory sound and also a sound when the red body no longer has ammo, but still tries to shoot.


MISC

We have added rumble for your controllers, so you know you've been hit!
